Overlapping leaves
--
The dense network of leaves is the subject and the surface language at once. Dark, irregular contours separate each overlapping leaf, while the fine vein marks inside them give the image a tactile, almost etched quality. The broad central leaf is especially strong: its curved edge passes beneath the narrow upright leaf, then reappears near the lower center, so the overlaps remain legible despite the crowded pattern.
The restricted blue palette holds together across the entire image. The pale turquoise on the upper-left leaf and the deeper cyan near the lower-right edge provide small shifts without breaking the unified color field. Occasional warm peach marks inside the veins are subtle but useful, especially near the upper center and left-middle area.
The main limitation is that nearly every leaf receives the same dark outline and equally dense internal texture. The large leaf at lower center, the central rounded leaf, and the cropped forms along the edges all compete at the same intensity.
